About IFoS
The IFoS Examination is conducted by UPSC to recruit officers for the Indian Forest Service. Candidates appear for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam as a common screening test, then write the IFoS Mains followed by a Personality Test.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
21 to 32 years as on August 1 of the exam year
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree with at least one of: Animal Husbandry, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Maths, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, Agriculture, Forestry, or Engineering
Number of Attempts
6 (General/EWS); 9 (OBC); unlimited till age limit (SC/ST)
