4. Subscription Management
4.1 Subscription Activation
Upon successful payment:
- Your subscription is activated immediately

If subscription is not activated within 15 minutes:

- Log out and log back in to your account

4.2 Subscription Renewal
Subscription renewals depend on the subscription type:
- Manual Renewal (Default): Your subscription expires at the end of the paid period. You must manually renew by purchasing a new subscription before expiry.

4.3 Auto-Renewal Terms (If Enabled)
If you enable auto-renewal:

- You revert to the Free Tier with limited access
- Your test history, performance data, and account remain intact
- You can renew at any time to regain full access

- 3 days before expiry
- On the day of expiry
4.5 Upgrading Subscriptions
You may upgrade your subscription at any time:
- Upgrade from Free to Paid: Purchase any paid subscription
- Upgrade from Shorter to Longer Duration: Switch from monthly to quarterly, half-yearly, or annual
- Pro-rata Credit: If you upgrade mid-cycle, you receive pro-rata credit for unused time on your current subscription, applied toward the new subscription cost
Example: If you have 15 days remaining on a 1-month subscription (₹500) and upgrade to a 6-month subscription (₹2,400), you will receive a credit of approximately ₹250 (pro-rated value), and pay ₹2,150 for the upgrade.
4.6 Downgrading Subscriptions
Subscription downgrades are not supported mid-cycle.
If you wish to move to a lower-tier subscription:

No refunds are provided for voluntary downgrades.

- You have accessed no more than 3 practice tests since purchase
- No AI feedback reports have been downloaded
- No downloadable scorecards have been generated
- You have experienced a genuine technical issue preventing platform access (must be reported to support team with evidence)

6.2 Refund Request Process
To request a refund:

- User has poor exam performance or believes the platform did not help (educational outcomes are not guaranteed)
- User misunderstood subscription features or duration (feature descriptions are clearly provided)
- Subscription has expired or nearing expiry
- Technical issues caused by user's device, internet connection, or browser compatibility
- Violation of Terms and Conditions resulting in account suspension or termination
6.5 Partial Refunds
VidyaVriti does NOT offer partial refunds for:
- Unused portion of subscription period
- Downgrading from longer to shorter subscription duration
- Switching exam categories mid-subscription
Exception: If VidyaVriti discontinues a specific exam category or major feature during your active subscription, you may be eligible for a pro-rated refund. Contact support for evaluation.
6.6 Refund for Technical Issues
If you experience technical issues preventing platform access:

Technical issues on user end (device, internet, browser) are not eligible for refunds.
6.7 Chargebacks and Disputes
If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank/card issuer without first contacting VidyaVriti:
- Your account will be immediately suspended pending investigation
- Access to all services will be revoked
- We will provide evidence to the payment gateway and your bank demonstrating service delivery
- If chargeback is ruled in our favor, your account remains permanently suspended
- You may be liable for chargeback fees and legal costs
We strongly encourage users to contact our support team first to resolve any payment disputes amicably.
6.8 Refund Abuse Prevention
VidyaVriti monitors for refund abuse patterns, including:
- Repeated subscription purchase and refund cycles
- Creating multiple accounts to exploit refund policy
- False claims of technical issues
- Downloading all content and then requesting refund
Users found abusing the refund policy will face:
- Immediate account suspension or permanent ban
- Ineligibility for future refunds
- Legal action for fraudulent claims
- Reporting to payment gateways and financial institutions
7. Failed Payments and Payment Issues
7.1 Common Reasons for Payment Failure
Payments may fail due to:
- Insufficient Funds: Inadequate balance in bank account or credit limit exceeded
- Incorrect Payment Details: Wrong card number, CVV, expiry date, or UPI PIN
- Bank Decline: Transaction declined by your bank due to security settings or risk assessment
- OTP Timeout: One-time password (OTP) not entered within the time limit
- Network Issues: Internet connectivity problems during payment processing
- Card Restrictions: Card not enabled for online transactions or international payments
- Daily Transaction Limits: Exceeded daily spending or transaction count limits set by your bank
- Payment Gateway Issues: Temporary technical issues with payment gateway servers

7.2 What to Do If Payment Fails

VidyaVriti is not responsible for payment gateway processing delays or bank reconciliation timelines.
7.4 Bank Holds and Authorization Charges
Some banks place temporary "authorization holds" on your account during payment processing.
- The amount is blocked but not debited
- If payment fails, the hold is released by your bank within 3-7 business days
- VidyaVriti does not control authorization hold releases (contact your bank)
This is a standard banking practice and not a VidyaVriti charge.
7.5 Payment Gateway Technical Issues
If the payment gateway (Razorpay/Cashfree) experiences technical issues:

- Total payable amount (subscription + GST) prominently displayed before payment confirmation
8.2 No Additional Platform Fees
VidyaVriti does NOT charge:
- Account registration fees
- Account maintenance fees
- Test access fees (beyond subscription cost)
- Download fees for scorecards or performance reports
- Support ticket fees
- Early cancellation penalties
- Platform usage fees
Your subscription covers complete access to all included features.
8.3 Third-Party Charges
However, please note that third parties may charge fees beyond our control:
- Payment Gateway Charges: Some payment methods (credit card EMI, international cards) may incur gateway processing fees charged by Razorpay/Cashfree (disclosed during checkout if applicable)
- Bank Charges: Your bank may charge credit card processing fees, international transaction fees (for payments from outside India), currency conversion fees, and over-limit fees or insufficient balance charges

VidyaVriti and partner physical exam centers operate as independent entities.
Payments to partner exam centers are SEPARATE from VidyaVriti subscriptions:
- If you attend a physical exam simulation at a partner center, you pay the center directly
- Partner center fees are determined by the center, not by VidyaVriti
- VidyaVriti subscription does NOT include or cover partner center simulation fees
- Partner centers have their own payment policies, refund policies, and terms
9.2 Result Ingestion from Partner Centers
Result ingestion is included in your VidyaVriti subscription at no additional cost:
- Partner centers transfer your simulation test results to VidyaVriti
- Results are imported into your digital profile automatically
- AI feedback and performance analytics are generated for partner center results
- This service is covered by your VidyaVriti paid subscription
No additional charges apply for result ingestion.
9.3 Disputes with Partner Centers

- Partner center simulation fees
- Partner center refund requests
- Test administration at partner centers
- Data accuracy from partner centers
Contact the partner exam center directly. VidyaVriti is not responsible for partner center billing, refunds, or data disputes.
10. Promotional Offers and Discounts

11. Account Suspension for Non-Payment
11.1 Immediate Access Revocation on Subscription Expiry
When your paid subscription expires:
- Access to paid features is immediately revoked
- You revert to Free Tier access
- No grace period is provided for unpaid subscriptions
This is not a suspension, but a natural expiry. You may renew at any time to regain access.
11.2 Failed Auto-Renewal Payments
